BESN x Community proudly announces the successful completion of its summer program in visual arts, esports, and game development. This groundbreaking initiative empowered over 40 youth to create their very first video game, thanks to the generous support from The City of Toledo, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, and Buildbox.
Throughout the summer, participants engaged in hands-on workshops and interactive sessions that introduced them to the fundamentals of game design, coding, and digital art. The program aimed to inspire creativity, foster teamwork, and equip young minds with valuable technical skills that are crucial in today’s digital age.
Program Highlights:
Visual Arts Workshops: Youth explored various art techniques and learned how to apply their creativity to game design.
Esports Training: Participants received guidance from professional esports coaches, enhancing their strategic thinking and teamwork skills.
Game Development Sessions: Using Buildbox and Roblox, a leading game development platform, the youth brought their game ideas to life, culminating in the creation of their own video games.
