BESN X Community has officially kicked off production for our groundbreaking new series, Hip Hop Influences Everything (HHIE) — and there couldn’t have been a more powerful place to start than the Esports & Creator Summit and DreamHack Atlanta.

These two major cultural and gaming events bring together creators, fans, innovators, and industry leaders from across the country. For us, they represent the perfect backdrop for a project that explores how hip hop, gaming, creativity, and community intersect to shape the world we live in today.

Lights, Camera, Culture: HHIE Is Underway

At the Esports & Creator Summit, our team captured conversations with top creators and industry voices about the ever-evolving intersection between hip hop and gaming. We explored how these cultural pillars empower youth, amplify underrepresented voices, and create new lanes for storytelling and technology.

From Atlanta’s vibrant music scene to the massive stage at DreamHack, HHIE is already shaping up to be a powerful series that celebrates:

  • The evolution of gaming as cultural expression

  • The influence of hip hop on tech, esports, and digital art

  • The communities building the next generation of storytellers

  • Real youth narratives from our programs in Toledo and Atlanta

Special thank you to our sponsor Resurgens for believing in the vision and supporting our production team during this exciting launch.

DreamHack Atlanta: Where Culture and Gaming Meet

Our HHIE team spent the weekend at DreamHack Atlanta, one of the largest gaming festivals in the world. We captured cosplayers, competitors, creators, and fans who represent the spirit of HHIE — creative, bold, and unafraid to push boundaries.

This footage will form a key part of the series as we explore how gaming is becoming a core part of youth identity and urban culture.
